Roadmap to a Healthier Spartanburg: The 2026–2028 CHIP Report is live!
We are proud to officially launch the 2026–2028 Spartanburg County Community Health Improvement Plan (CHIP). This report is our collective roadmap for action, designed to shape a healthier future for all our neighbors.
This plan is the result of over 60 hours of collaboration between community partners, resident ambassadors, and subject matter experts. Together, we moved from data to action to identify the most pressing health needs in Spartanburg County.
Our Focus Areas
The new CHIP focuses on four key priorities to improve quality of life:
- Access to Care: Making sure quality health services are affordable and available to everyone.
- Behavioral Health: Supporting mental well-being and improving resources for substance use disorders.
- Healthy Eating & Active Living (HEAL): Increasing access to nutritious foods and safe places to be active.
- Resilient Children & Families: Building the support systems children and families need to thrive.
A New Way to Measure Success
To make sure our work creates real change, we have adopted the Results-Based Accountability (RBA) framework. This means we aren’t just tracking activities; we are measuring exactly how much better off our residents are because of these efforts.
